Question about Ming Tombs

  Would you advise going to the Great Wall and the Ming tombs without tours?

  Is it reasonable to go to them on your own--especially if you like doing things on your own pace--

• It is reasonable to go to the two sites by your own. You will catch the bus No. 919 to the Great Wall directly. But you should change twice to get to Ming Tomb from Badaling. You’d better hire a car to get there.
