Question about China L Visa (Tourist Visa)

  I need help regarding the letter of invitation?

  I've read over the internet that the letter of invitation might help a tourist to acquire a visa. I was just wondering if this letter of invitation is only exclusive to residents of that country ,and a relative who is in that country. The thing is, I'm planning to visit my bf in China next year and I am not sure if the letter of invitation is applicable to us since he's my bf not my cousin. Furthermore, he's not a resident in China since he's only in that country for his second undergraduate studies. So I am really confused on what is the right thing to do.

• an invitation letter written by your boyfriend is acceptable. you also need to ask him send you the copies of his Chinese residence visa and passport information page.
