Question about Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport

  A few qns about transfer between HongQiao & PuDong

  I will be flying from Haneda (Japan) -> Hong Qiao T1, then I need to travel to Pu Dong T1 for my transfer. Both with China Eastern.
  
  Some qns:
  1. I believe I have to collect my luggage at Hong Qiao then check it in again at Pu Dong right?
  2. I will only reach Hong Qiao at 4:10pm, by then the metro will be closed unless they change the shedule by dec?
  3. What are some peak hours when there can be a traffic jam? Looking at my timing, will I meet with one?
  4. I have around 5 hours to buffer me from getting lost and recheck-in. Should be more than enough?

• 1. yes, you need to collect your luggage at Hongqiao and check it in again at Pudong.
  2. the metro runs at that time (4:10 p.m.). don't worry. subway line 2 will take you from Hongqiao to Pudong directly.
