Question about China G Visa (Transit Visa)

  Do i need transit (g) visa if I am in beijing airport for less than 24 hours?

  I have two tickets. One from Hong Kong to Beijing and the other from Beijing to Vancouver to Montreal leaving within 24 hours from Beijing airport.
  
  I am concerned that I need a transit (g) visa to do this. I do NOT plan to go out the airport. But I fear that I may need to clear immigration and then check in at the counter for my second ticket (thus needing a visa)
  
  Can anyone be of help to me

• take it easy Arthur, if you don't go out of the airport and stay there less than 24 hours, you don't need a transit visa.
