Question about Guangzhou Ferries to Hong Kong

  baggage reclaim at HKG skypier?

  I would like to take the ferry from Hongkong International Airport to Guangzhou. I understand that I have to go to Skypier without immigration and customs check. But, how can I get my baggage? It should not end up on the baggage carousel of the airport.

• when you arrrive at the airport, you can purchase the ferry ticket to Guangzhou and get a baggage identification tag for baggage reclaim at Air/Sea Transfer Desk. you can then Check baggage status with the ferry ticket reader.

  take a ferry from Nansha port to Humen ferry terminal, and then take a bus No. 5 to the last stop, Humen Long-distance Bus Station. you will find the wholesale market. there are many nice hotels near the market.

• This may be a silly question but when you say "Check baggage status with the ferry ticket reader", what can I expect the status to be? "Baggage on board"? or "Baggage lost"? or (tongue in cheek) "Baggage overboard"? And what happens if the status is "NOT on board"?
