Question about Shanghai Pudong International Airport
-
If I have approx. 6 hours layover at Shanghai Pudong International Airport, I would like to do the following:
(1) Visit the China Pavillion at the Expo site. I heard the Pavillion is still open to the public, if so, what are the opening hours? How do I get there from the airport? or,
(2) Vist the Shanghai World Financial Tower. How do I get there from the airport?
Do I have time to do either one?
Thank you very much for your help!Asked by Wilson (Canada) | Sep. 18, 2011 21:09Answer Question

- I think you can either visit the China Pavilion by take Shanghai Subway line 2 an dsubway line 7, or visit Shanghai World Fanancial Tower by subway line 2 directly. But you only have 30-40 minutes time for the visiting, will be a very tight schedule!Answered by Mark | Sep. 19, 2011 20:29
- Hi, I will be taking a domestic flight from xi'an to Shanghai connecting to Singapore. Have about 6hrs transit time. Any suggestion for any sightseeing? How about enuf time to go Jing'an temple? Should I take the meglev train or the city bus? Thanks Answered by Geraldine | Nov. 08, 2011 12:19
- 6 hours are not very sufficient for sightseeing in Shanghai city.
if you go to Jingan Temple: it takes you near 3 hours for a round-trip by subway line 2.
if by the meglev train (transit to subway line 2 or line 7 at Longyang Road station), you can safe about 40 minutes on the way.
however, the boarding procedures for the flight to Singapore may take you 2 hours. you will also spend some time for getting off the plan when arrival at shanghai, finding out the subway station and so on.
therefore, you have less than 1 hour in Jing'an Temple.Answered by Lily | Nov. 08, 2011 17:49
