- Your new zealand passport is ok to apply for the China visa.Answered by Cherry | Feb. 19, 2010 18:29
- Hello Cherry
Thanks for te reply.. but r u sure... if not then plese u should not have replied... as I have gone personaly to vancouver china office consulate with new zealand passport and the completed application .. and is bluntly and flatly refused unless have the canadain passport/or permanent visa card.. they did not even bother to see my application and were not ready to hear anything in the absence of canadian passport/ PR card.. it was a big Q with 400/500 people after 3/4 days holidays and hue and cry there with line going out of the building in the side lane at 8.30 am and the first in line person told me he came at 7.00 am...
It was a big fun anywayand my prog. is spoiled and got tentative tickets cancelled.
Futhermore now I have leaned that in the absence of PR card/ cnadian passport even landing back to canada is a problem as canadian citizenship card is not a travel document ??? and only resort available to me is to go for getting canadain passport.
Any comment / reply/ clarifiacation will be great.
love

For the visa, the embassy has the final say. If you want to get the visa, you have to follow them.Answered by Cherry | Feb. 20, 2010 16:40
- A Canadian citizenship card can never be a proof of citizenship of that country. Proof of citizenship are the following : birth certificate & passport. In the absence of those 2 mentioned because you were born in the Philippines to Filipino parents, you need a Canadian naturalization certificate. A naturalization certificate shows proof that, as a foreigner immigrant, you have officially pledged allegiance to their Canadian. When you already have that Certificate of Naturalization, THAT is the only time that you can apply for a Canadian passport. Answered by Lorna J. (United States) | May. 17, 2010 20:59
