  Can Xining to Lhasa T164 train tickets be bought at Shanghai St if the train originates Shanghai?

• yes Joey,
  you can buy the ticket at Shanghai station, usually 10 or 11 days in advance.
  remember to state that you want to buy the ticket from Xining to Lhasa, but not from Shanghai to Lhasa.
