How to get the Great Wall from downtown Beijing?

i'm going with my family. can you tell me the best way to get there?

Hi William,
which section of Great Wall are you going to go?
i recommond the Badaling Great Wall of the Mutianyu Great Wall.
if you go to Badaling, you can take bus No. 919, 919 (Through), 919 (Express) from Deshengmen of Beijing City to Badaling.
if you choose Mutianyu Great Wall, you can take bus No. 867 Tourist Special Bus (936) from Dongzhimen bus station directly to Mutianyu Great Wall, or public bus No. 916 to Huairou District and then by taxi to reach Mutianyu Great Wall Scenic Spot
