Question about Visa Refusal
-
any trouble if i have a shoddy TEFL to work in China?
I accepted a job in China, and I told the said school that I didn't have my TEFL, etc yet. They said "no worries', they made a shoddy TEFL degree for me, but the bottom still said the other person's name. If the school sent this Cert off to the Government, then what kind of trouble could I be in and could I still apply for a Tourist Visa or any visa?

- Hi Johny,
it is illegal to teach as a foreign teacher in China without a TEFL, so you'd better get the certificate first and then apply a Chinese work visa.
plus you may be rejected with this shoddy TEFL.Answered by Sandy | Jan. 26, 2012 18:41 - It was against my will! I have no problem doing TEFL classes. Just want to be sure this shoddy Certificate won't hold me back from doing that.
Much appreciatedAnswered by Johnny (USA) | Jan. 26, 2012 20:54 - the TEFL is required when you are going to apply for a Chinese work visa for a teaching job in China, but you could still apply the Chinese tourist visa.Answered by Alice | Jan. 27, 2012 16:43
