I have to use special make-up or I get very bad skin.
So I have packed a years supply of liquid Make up.
Is there any limit in your big checked bags. Not your carrying on.
On how many cosmetic productsy you can take?

I read the 1L thing but is that for your carryon on bag?Asked by S (Australia) | Feb. 13, 2012 17:47Answer Question

- it is OK if the cosmetics are for personal use. proper amount of make-up can be taken in checked bags without paying any tax.
one of my friend bought box of make-ups and took them back to China without paying tax.Answered by Sally | Feb. 13, 2012 18:36
- Okay, But what is called as a proper amount.
So say Im there for 6 months but I can extend for another 6 months.
so 12 months- I use 2 types of liquid makeup.
so 24 bottles, 1 for each month.
 Does that look like to much?Answered by s (Australia) | Feb. 14, 2012 12:47
- according to the regulation of Chinese Customs, items for personal use exceeding CNY 5,000 will be taxed, but the officiers at customs will judge whether the make-up you take are within the accpeted quantity for personal use, so I guess there is no problem if you can provide any proof (may be a doctor's prescription) or explanation.Answered by Kate | Feb. 14, 2012 17:03
- Its expensive to post it to china.
But will be expensive if they take it off me aswell.
I will have to get a little note from my doctor saying I have to use these certain products.Answered by s (Australia) | Feb. 14, 2012 17:10
