Question about Shanghai

  16 hour layover in Shanghai - PVG to SHA

  American citizens arrive PVG (pudong) at 530pm and deaprt out of SHA (hongqiao) at 945am (next morning). Can we leave PVG then get to SHA and drop off our luggae in storage lockers then proceed to visit Shaghai? How far is the Bund from SHA? What are the hours of opperation for SHA? We would like to get back to SHA late at night/early morning after visiting The Bund.

• Hi Brian,
  American citizens are allowed to stay in Shanghai for 48 hours for transit without a visa.
  yes, you can go for a visit.
  the Bund is about 1 hour from the airport by subway line 2.
  you'd better get back to the airport at night, and last subway line 2 getting back to the airport at around 09:30.
