Question about China Embassy in Canada

  Application for an Adult HKID Card with Smart ID

  I haven't applied for my 3 star adult HKID smart ID card before 2003 and need to get it in order to apply for the Scheme $6000. Can I apply for it at the Toronto embassy? If so, what forms will I need and will I still have time to be eligible for the March 2012 eligibility even after the processing time? Thank you for you time in advance.

• yes, you can apply it at the Toronto Embassy.
  the processing time is 6 - 8 weeks.
  as for documents:
  your HK birth certificate
  Paper(s) showing your immigration status at your place of residence;
  Your valid travel document(s);
  Your parents' Hong Kong permanent identity card(s);
  Your parents' marriage certificate (if any).
  you must affix one recent photo of you which is no larger than 55mm x 45mm and no smaller than 50mm x 40mm.
