Question about China Visa

  China transit visa

  Hello. I'm Colombian and I'm living in shanghai with my husband, he is Italian. we are planing to have holidays in Asia before we go back to Europe and our return ticket is from shanghai so I know tat I need to apply for a transit visa if I want to leave the airport to pick up my staff. my question is if I can apply for transit visa while i'm in shanghai or I have to do it in a different country while I'm on holidays.

• what type of Chinese visa are you holding now? will it expire when you enter Shanghai for your return flight to Europe? if not, you don't need to apply the transit visa.
  the transit visa can not be applied in Shanghai.
  actually, your husband, as an Italian passport holder, can stay in shanghai for transit without a visa for 48 hours, you may ask him to pick up your staff.
