Question about China Customs Declarations

  Buying iPad 3 in Hong Kong and returning to China

  I am planning on buying the new iPad in Hong Kong, I will then be going home to South Africa for a month. When I return to China mainland, do I have to declare my iPad, and do I have to pay any tax on the item?
