Question about Visa Refusal
-
why was my request for a Chinese visa denied?
i applied for a Chinese visa 2 weeks ago because i wanted to visit Shanghai. i'd never been before, wasn't going for any type of work and the plan was to be there for 3 days maximum. was informed that my visa request was denied because of the fact that i work for a radio station here in the US so i'm classified as media. when i originally filled out my application i specifically said that i was going for tourism purposes and i also filled out the application correct and honestly when asked what my current source of employment was. i have no adult criminal record other than traffic offenses (speeding tickets) so i'm not understanding the reason i was given for denial.

- Hi Jayson,
as you mentioned in your post, your visa request "was denied because of the fact that i work for a radio station here in the US so i'm classified as media." that is the reason your visa denied. sometimes, they are a little bit "sensitive" to foreign media.Answered by Lisa | Jun. 05, 2012 18:12
