as long as you enter China within the valid period, you can stay there for the allowed days, for example, if your visa is issued on August 1st, 2012 and it is valid for 3 months, which means you should enter China before November 1st, 2012, and you are allowed to stay 30 days after entry. if you enter China on October 31st, 2012 when your visa is still valid and the entry date will expire the next day, you can still stay in China for 30 days.
