  australian living in italy for 14 mths and want to return home via china can we get visa in hongkong

  We are australian and have been living in italy for 14months and want to return to australia via china to see our son who is living and working there for china open tennis,[ he has a permit ] we also have booked a eleven day tour. we are having trouble getting our visa in italy.
  can we fly to Hong Kong and get a china visa there and what is the shortest time to get visa and times.
  we hve also booked our air fares as the travel agent said there would be no problem getting a visa.

• yes, you can apply the Chinese visa in Hong Kong.
  it usually takes 4 working days to process the visa application, but you can apply for an express service so that you can collect your visa on third working day or a rush service and pick up your visa on the second working day.
