when my partner migrated to australia she was 2 years old so she was under her mothers visa. she now needs to prove that she was born in china. how would she go about getting this information? Getting a birth certificate is very important as she needs one to obtain a passport and a drivers licence.

- the birth certificate can only be obtained from her birth place in China. if she can not go back to China, she can entrust a relative or friend in China to apply it for her.
first she need to get a birth certificate from the household registration office of the public security bureau in her birth place, and then have it notarized in the local notary office.Answered by Emily | Jul. 31, 2012 20:13
