Z Visa refusal for Filipino because of intensive relationship
Got a job offer from China which did not push through. Is this true? This is what they told me:
We just got from Chinese labor bureau that we can’t hire Filipino because of the intensive relationship in country political level.
I’m so sorry that we have to hold up the process for your visa application and on-boarding. Sorry for the inconvenience caused because we are also new for this information.

- To solstiz :
I hope you did not resign yet from your current work after accepting the china job.Answered by anonymous (Philippines) | Sep. 20, 2012 22:16 - I also got a job offer in Shanghai and they wanted me to start before October 2012...I told them to be prepared for a refusal of my work visa because I knew already that China has been banning Filipinos from getting Z visas since 2008. They just got a lot stricter last year, 2011. Even though I worked already in Shanghai from 2009 to 2011 and in Beijing 2011 to 2012, the new company that wanted to hire me confirmed what I already know so I am now stuck in the Philippines. Though I worked legally in China for almost 3 years, I can't return because of the political tension between China and the Philippines. Too bad!!!Answered by Judith (Philippines) | Oct. 02, 2012 06:43
