• yes, usually the airport open 24 hours. you can have a rest in the 24-hour restaurants in the airport, such as KFC and Mcdonald.
  you can also spend the night in the hotels near the airport, if your stay in Shanghai is less than 48 hours, you do not need to apply the transit visa.
