Bringing 1000 fortune cookies into china for company event
I have need to bring 1000 fortune cookies from the USA to China to hand out (to be saved or eaten) by other company employees there that have cookie outside and company logo with message inside. The total cost for 1000 cookies is $200 USD. Am I able to bring this into china and do I need to declare it?

- Hi Mike,
I suggest you find a supplier in China. maybe you can ask your Chinese colleagues to try to search online to see if there is a supplier who can provide you fortune cookies.
if you have to take them from the USA to China, you need to declare them.Answered by Nina | Sep. 20, 2012 20:44 - I have been trying to ask collegues and so far no luck but I continue to try. Am I able to take fortune cookies to China if I declare where there is 1000 of them (that is like a very large suitcase of them. The cost in the USA to produce them is about 10 cents each so about $100 dollars. If you say I can take to China and just declare the cost, to pay 10%-$30% would be worth it. I just was not able to find anything online with customs that would tell me for sure if I would be able to take cookies like this as luggage on the plan and declare them. CAn you verify that I am able to take from USA to China if I declare them?Answered by Mike Nunnery (USA (Shanghai)) | Sep. 20, 2012 21:05
