Question about China Embassy in Australia
-
I need to authenticate a Power of Attorney for my brother in HK to deal with a property in China.
My brothers and I have inherited a property from my grandfather in China. I live in Adelaide and I need to give my brother in HK a Power of Attorney to act on my behalf. After I sign this in Australia, I am told that it needs to be authenticated by the Chinese Embassy here. How should I go about doing this? Thank You.

- you need to have it authenticated at the Chinese Embassy in Canberra.
before that you have to prepare the following documents:
1. Application Form for Notarization or Authentication EMBASSY OF THE PEOPLE’S REPUBLIC OF CHINA
2. copy of your passport.
3. the Power of Attorney should be authenticated by the local authority in Australia.
the processing time is 4 working days and the cost is 30 Australian dollar.
please consult the Chinese Embassy for detailed information.Answered by Helen | Oct. 08, 2012 01:02
