Question about Chinese Seals

  Are Chinese seals always in mirror writing?

  The reason I ask is that the dealer I buy most of my seals from in China mentioned that sometimes you can read a seal by looking at it. These were made to show directly at people, not for stamping with ink. He is still looking for some examples and I've seen seals like this but believe it to be a manufacturing mistake. Knowledgeable answers much appreciated.

• the Chinese characters that made to show directly at people are usually appeared on stone steles, or on the sides of a seal which are notes about the seal. but the characters on the bottom of a seal are always in mirror writing.
