Question about Guangzhou

  Who to contact about baggage held at Guangzhou airport

  I recently departed Guangzhou for newcastle via amsterdam. Upon arriva I was told my bag was held at guangzhou because there was a battery in it. I was advised at the time that no lithium batteries were allowed but this is a Nicad battery for my drill. The staff at the China Southern desk said it would be fine. So far I have contacted KLM who the tickets were bought off but nothing is happening fast. Any idea who I can contact or what I can do?
