Question about China Visa

if you are going to invite your husband as your accompanying family and apply a Z visa, you need to ask the company you work for provide an Invitation Letter of Duly Authorized Unit or Confirmation Letter of Invitation. he also need to submit your marriage certificate to the Chinese Embassy.
but if he is going to visit you for a short period, i think he only needs to apply an L visa, and you can just send him an invitation letter.
