Question about Education in China

  what happened to the students sent to Unis by workers ,pesents and soldriors?

  During the cultural revolution,many students sent to Universities by workers, pesents and soldriors.After finishing or half finishing their education were assigned to work in schools ,hospitals,factories and government departmentS . Because it is believed that they are not very competant , so some people want to know what they are doing now . Are they still working , retired or whatever ?

• i guess most of them are retired now, as they are around their 60s.
