  Best way to get to Shamian from Liwanhu Park / Xiguan

  Pls. advise the best way to get to Shamian from Liwanhu Park or Xiguan to Shamina?
  
  What is the cost if by metro or by cab or by bus?
  
  How far do I need to walk from Metro to Shamian? Do I need to take cab or bus from Metro?
  
  Appreciate if you could provide the direction to walk from Metro to Shamian.
  
  Note: Will be travelling to Guangzhou next week and need your experty advice.

• from Liwanhu Park to Shamian, walk to the west gate of the park to take bus No. 9, 105, or 538 for 3 stops to Huangsha Ferry Terminal (huangsha matou). and walk east to cross the river, you will reach shamian. the walk distance is very short, you can find it easily.
  
  from xiguan you just walk south to Shamian, and the walking distance is less than 500 meters.
