Question about Visa Extension

  Second F visa extension

  I hold a US passport and have already had a 30 day extension in suzhou. Since I needed a 60 day visa They told me that I could come back to apply for another 30 day extension. A week before my visa expires I went back to apply for another extension and they said I was only allowed once. I immediately booked a flight to hk to apply for a new visa. The hk officials say that since I don't hold a residence card I can only get 30 days. My question is, can I go back to hk and apply for another visa or can i apply for an extension in suzhou or shanghai with the visa hk issued me??

• you don't need to need to go back to Hong Kong to apply another visa. just have the visa extended in Suzhou.

• you'd better have it extended in the city you stay in Mainland China.
