Question about China G Visa (Transit Visa)

  Transit visa Indian national

  Hello, My friend has a last minute change to his itinerary (San Francisco to Kolkata with 2 layovers in Shanghai and Kunmin) with his transit time changed from a total of ~ 16 hrs (14 + 2) to ~ 28 hours (14 + 12). He is an indian national and does not have time to apply for a transit visa now. Please suggest what needs to be done asap. Thank you.

• a transit visa is not required if the transit in the international airport less than 24 hours, but he should apply a transit visa if the stay over 24 hours. he can apply the visa through the Chinese Embassy or Consulate General in USA. an urgent visa service is available that he can obtain the visa in 1 working day.
