• i think the largest achievement was that Zheng He (1371 - 1433) made seven lengthily voyages to countries in Southeast Asia, the Indian Ocean (the Red Sea area) and the east coast of Africa.
  also the four classic novels of Chinese literature; the masterpiece, Yongle Canon, which was the world's earliest and biggest encyclopaedia.
