• You mean the one lasted in 265 - 420?
  It's 晋 in chinese, different from Jin(1115 - 1234, 金). They sound alike : )
  In short, this dynasty was built by Sima Zhao, whose father used to be one of most important ministers of Wei（魏） kindom. A warrior murdered an ambitious emperor of Wei named Cao Mao （曹髦） in Sima Zhao‘s connivance. Then Sima Zhao crowned Cao Huan （曹奂）as his puppet. When opportunity arrived, Sima Zhao forced Cao Huan to put down his sceptre and crowned himself the new emperor. He named his new dynasty Jin, as he and his father were all created king of Jin.
