  South African passport - Apply for Chinese tourist Visa in Bangkok?

  Hi there. I will be in Bangkok shortly and was wondering if I can apply for a 3 month tourist visa from there? I am a South African citizen. What exactly will I need? I have a Chinese friend who is living in China that I will be staying with. She is a Chinese citizen.

• you need to provide the original and photocopy of your valid certificates or visa of stay, residence, employment or student status, or other valid certificates of legal staying in Bangkok.
  if you just visit Bangkok shortly, you can not apply the Chinese visa there. you have to apply it through the Chinese Embassy or Consulate in your country.
