Question about Visa Refusal
-
Too many entries, now being denied.
Hi! I have been traveling on tourist visas to China for about 3 months, trying to set up an investment deal and arrange a patent with a law firm in Shanghai. I have previously applied for and been granted about 7 visas, never having been denied; but most of those entries only saw me there for a few days at a time. I am traveling on a Canadian passport so I couldn't apply for a 1 year multiple entry. I have now been rejected, citing that I have spent too much time in China recently.
I have to be able to return to complete the patent application and investment deal next week. I also just rented an apartment there, given the frequency of my visits. Once the deal is complete, we will have a company there able to sponsor me for the work I need to remain in China to do.
Is there any way I can arrange a visa to let me go? Someone I can talk to? Another type of visa that I could qualify for?
Does anyone have any ideas?

- Were all your 7 visas L type? If so, I'm afraid it is hard to get a L one now since you have been denied. Then I recommend you turn to an agent in your country, which may help you with visa application. Good luck.Answered by Diana (US) | Jul. 24, 2014 05:41
- Ryan said tourist visa but really is doing business. So, as he is really there to do business, he should apply for an L visa, not tourist - tourists travel, they don't arrange businesses and patents! I understand the authorities as someone who is in China so often he needs an apartment is not a tourist anymore. Answered by Margalit (USA) | Oct. 15, 2014 08:30
