Question about China G Visa (Transit Visa)

  I have a 37 hour stop at PuDong,Shanghai on my way back to mumbai from tokyo.

  I know about the visa free 24 hours transit. But i my case,can i have a transit of 37 hours ? Do i need to apply for transit visa in my country or i can also apply at the shanghai airport ?
  Is it possible to leave the airport during my 37hrs wait and see shanghai city ?
  I cant find any info where one has more than 24 hours of transit.
  Please help as i have to book my ticket.

• As for your case, you have to apply for a transit visa in your country in advance. With that, you will be allowed to get into Shanghai city for sightseeing.
