Do I need visa for transiting through Beijing?
I am an Indian passport holder, and have a valid US visa. I will be transiting through Beijing Airport in December. My layover is about 16 hours. I want to go out of the airport and visit the city.
Could you please clarify whether:
1. I need to apply for a visa beforehand, or can I get a visa on arrival at the Beijing Airport?
2. If I have to apply for a visa, then should it be Transit Visa (G) or Tourist Visa (L)?
3. I reside in Florida, but can I apply for the visa at the Chinese Consulate in San Francisco?Asked by Prerana (USA) | Nov. 06, 2014 15:55Answer Question

- For your stopover, no visa is needed. If you wanna get out of the airport, you can easily apply for a stay permit upon landing. Then you will be allowed to visit the city.Answered by Joe (AU) | Nov. 08, 2014 19:53
