Question about China D Visa (Residence Visa)
-
Am I able to get a D visa or another visa and if so do i need a work permit
I am US Citizen 26 years old and I want to marry my Girlfriend, but here parents want me to live there for a few years after we get married. I'm currently working on a B.A. English, but still far off from getting it. So I know I won't be able to get a Z Visa or a work permit. I don't have the money to continue to go travel from here to there every few months. If I stay for an extended amount of time I would have to find a new job every time I came back home. If I would marry here would it be easier for me to get a D visa or should I get a S-1 visa or is there any other visas that I could get? I already have a S-2 visa for multiple entries.

- You should know that the D type is issued to those who intend to reside in China permanently. It is very hard to get for common people. Well then, you can try to apply for a S1 visa on the contidtion that you have to get married first. Then your wife can invite you so that the visa application process would be much easier.Answered by Gabbey | Nov. 23, 2014 19:58
