Overstayed China Visa
I have a one year multi-entry 60 day duration business visa. I mixed up the original flight out date as the duration of stay and when leaving was 20 days overstayed.
They pulled me aside and gave me a fine and said not to let it happen again.
I went to Hong Kong and returned for entry into China the same day with no problem.
My concern now is how to answer on the next visa application when asked if I have ever overstayed?
Will this overstay be recorded on my record and checked on the next visa application?
Should I risk saying no or just answer honestly the question.

- You should just tell them the truth. Tell them your reasons to cause the unexpected overstay. Then there won't be any great influence on your next visa application. However, once you tell a lie, they will refuse your next visa because they may have the record.Answered by Rose | Dec. 06, 2014 20:42
- Hi Bruce, same thing happened to me, now I am back to my country and next week I will apply for new visa. Did you already succeed in getting your new visa without any problems? If yes, did you tell them about the overstay or not? Please let me know! Answered by Nat | Dec. 15, 2014 10:02
