Question about China Customs Declarations

  I want to bring pipe tobacco with me for 6-months stay. Do I have to declare if I have 8 tins=400g?

  A tin is typically 50g. That makes 500g=10 tins. If I'm carrying, say, 7 or 8 tins, do I have to declare them or can I just go through?

• As I know, there is no strict rule about pipe tobacco. So as long as you prove that they are just for self use when passing through the immigration, you won't have any problem and no declaration is needed.
