Question about Guangzhou Transportation

For visit purpose, you may need to apply for a F visa. To apply for it, the embassy will ask u to present the invitation letter of the factory or Canton Fair. If you cannot get any, it is best to book hotels in advance and apply for a L type instead.

U also have to fill in an application form with a recent passport-size color photo with white background stuck on. Your passport requires to have at least 6 months remaining validity and available blank pages. For other items, do consult your local Chinese embassy or consulate.

Each person is only allowed to take along 20,000RMB or 5,000USD in cash. Most payments in China are cash. In some large malls, hotels, and airport, international credit card and debit card can also be used.

For zhangjiagang visit, you can use most taxis and buses. For Canton Fair, subway is the best way to commute. Hotels are easily accessible in China, but the accommodation during Canton Fair will be in great need. Do book ahead.

In Zhangjiagang, I just know one pure veg. resto - Qishan Veg. Restaurant, between building no. 21-22, Jiyang Garden, Yangshe Town.

Veggie food is much easier to find in GZ, such as Su He Jing at Guanglian Mansion, no. 750, East Dongfeng Road, Yuexiu District, and Yixin Veg. Restaurant, on 4F, Zhongtai International Plaza, no. 161, West Linhe Road, Tianhe District.
