Question about Guangzhou Airport Express & Shuttle Bus

  getting the bus from the baiyun airport

  I looked at two websites. One says that airport shuttle buses leave from the arrivals area, the other says the buses leave from the departure areas. Which is correct, please, for getting Line 5 to Dongfang hotel?
  
  I will be meeting up with friends who come to CAN by a different airline. Does McDonalds next to arrivals area A still exist? I can tell them to meet me there.
