• Foot binding is to apply tight binding to the feet the young girls. As a result, their feet stop growing further, and become abnormal.

• Foot binding is basically bending your foot out of shape by bending your toes back and your heel in to make your foot smaller. It deforms your foot and you have to wear special 'lotus shoes' to walk around in. It's extremely painful and the process of it leaves your foot prone to infection and disease. You actually have to break bones in your foot for foot binding.
