• hi Jack,
  the Old City Temple is very close to Yuyuan Garden. Actuallyl, when you get there, you will find there are many unique shops. The Huangpu River and the Bund is not far from Yuyuan Garden, you can just walk there.
  as for gifts, i bought some silk scarves and silk fans for my friend and they like them very much.
