  Work permit issued but can visa get declined?

  Hi I am a south African citizen.
  I have recently been offered a post for 1 year in changsha China. The school had applied for my work permit and I was approved for my visa in China. I am waiting for my documents to be posted in order to go to the embassy in south africa to process my visa. Can a visa still be declined in south africa if it has been approved in China already? What documents must I take when processing my visa other than my work permit and invitation letter and passport?

• As I know, your application will probably be accepted as long as you prepare all the necessary documents. The documents include your passport and copy of its data page, application form affixed with the recently taken passport-style photo, work permit and its copy, and the invitation letter.
