Question about China G Visa (Transit Visa)
-
Which visa is suitable?
I arrive in Shanghai on 1 Oct via BA airline. I have a private tour in Shanghai, Suzhou and Hangzhou, and then transfer to a cruise ship on 7th Oct which ends in Singapore, and we return to the UK by 19 Oct, I have info about the G type which gives us 7 days but no details of how to apply, and the cost to UK citizens. Thank you

- Dear Maria, you are eligible to the 144-hour visa-free transit policy, which has been carried out in Shanghai, Jiangsu, and Zhejiang. The 144h stay period starts from 00:00 of the day following passengers’ arrival. So actually, the allowed time to stay is a little bit longer than 144 hours. You need to prepare these documents: valid passport, confirmed onward ticket, visa for a third country/region (if needed), and a fully completed Arrival/Departure Card. It is free of charge by the way. :)Answered by Mary (CA) | Jul. 18, 2016 22:27
