  I stay at Guangzhou from 6 Am to 12 pm of the third day (78 hours). Do I need a visa for China?

  I am a citizen of USA going to Vietnam through Guangzhou Baiyun Airport. I visit Hong Kong for 48 hours in between.

• No, you needn't. You are eligible to the 72 hours visa-free transit policy. The 72 hours is calculated from 00:00 the following day of the entry date to the scheduled departure time. Don't worry!
