  Can tourists bring their own personal used high value handbag to china

  Hi what is included in #8Other goods that need to be declared? I am USA citizen
  I will be traveling to Beijing , Japan , HK then back to USA via Air China
  I always carry my HErmes crocodile bag when i travel , which is high value.
  This will be my personal use and not for sale or gift , would I have problem entering and existing Beijing ?
  I am afraid they will tax me even it is personal use
  I hope to get a answer ASAP, I am traveling in few days :)

• You can take it in, but need to pay tax. Fill in the customs form truthfully. Then they will know it is for self-use. The tax rate will be 20% for the value excceed CNY5,000. If you don't wanna pay such a high duty, don't take the bag.
