  booking China train tickets online with child

  Following up on a question previously asked, I am traveling on an overnight train with a 7 year old child. Is it really not possible to book our family together? Could her ticket be free if she shares a bed with me? If not, is there a discount on this kind of train for children? If so, how do I select the discounted ticket?

• As I know, if your kid is below 1.2m, it is totally free for her to share a bed with you. For children between 1.2~1.5m, she is charged 50% of the adult ticket for sleeper train. You can get the discounted ticket at the railway station or at the official website 12306.
