Question about Xiamen

  day tour of xiamen tulou

  I & my wife will be in XM on 20th July & will return to Hangzhou on 22nd July. We plan to DIY a day trip to visit XM tulou. Most of the private tour packages we found in website are very expensive and so we plan to DIY our visit to Nanjing Tulou & Yongding Tulou. We hope someone can advise us how to go about it. We will start from our hotel (not yet booked) in XM.

• Hi, there. I found there are buses at Fanghu Long-Distance Bus Station and Xinglin Bus Terminal bound for Yongding Tulou directly; both leave at 08:30 or so. You may check the map to see which one is nearer to your hotel.
  Upon arrival, make sure you not miss Gaobei Earth Towers, Chengqi Tower, Shize Tower, Qiaofu Tower and Wuyun Tower. You may have lunch in Yongding and then charter a car to Nanjing Tulou to visit Hegui Tower and Huaiyuan Tower.
  When the visit is over, you can take a shuttle bus at the tourist center to Nanjing Bus Station and then transfer to a bus back to Xiamen Fanghu Bus Station. Oh, the last return bus leaves at 17:50. Don't miss it!
