G Visa can we re-apply
A colleague of mine travelled from Tokyo to Shanghai. She didn’t realise she needed a visa for travel. When she got to Tokyo airport, China Eastern airlines who she was travelling with advised her to buy a ticket to another destination to enter China and that she could still use her initial return to Tokyo. However, when she went to get her return flight to Tokyo she was told that she had not got the correct entry visa. She was allowed to get her flight back to Tokyo, however was informed that she won’t be able to use transfer visa. She has to travel to China again, so can see apply for another visa?

- If she wants to apply for a Chinese visa from Tokyo, I'm afraid it would be difficult if she doesn't have valid residence permit in Japan. If you doubt that, try to contact the CVASC in Japan to confirm that beforehand.

- Thanks Kate. She does have a valid permit in Japan. Will her previous travel incident bar her from applying for the G visa?Answered by Agnes (GB) | Oct. 02, 2018 01:48
- Her previous travel would not affeact the application. Don't worry about that too much.Answered by Kim (AR) | Oct. 11, 2018 01:37
